The Beretta 92X Performance Defensive was specifically designed with competition applications in mind. The 92X Performance Defensive features ergonomic enhancements, lightened steel frame and slide, red-dot ready slide and aggressive 92X thin grips.

To meet UDPA regulations, the picatinny rail is removed while reductions are made to the internal design of the Brigadier slide and 92X frame. To enable faster cycle time, the 92X uses a skeletonized hammer with a competition standard spring. The Extreme-S trigger keeps the striker automatic safety active ensuring safety while decreasing trigger reset by 40%. The 92x frame and slide is finished in Nistan with a black burnished barrel.
